Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before using our services.

By using our Website and contracting our services, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Privacy and Personal Data Processing Policy.


1. General Information

Liberia Shuttle is a ground transportation company based in Liberia, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the website and the contracting of shuttle transportation services offered by Liberia Shuttle.

2. Services Offered

Liberia Shuttle offers shared and private shuttle transportation services between destinations within Costa Rica. Route availability, schedules, and prices are subject to change without prior notice. Up-to-date information will always be available on our Website.


3. Booking Process

3.1 Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed only when:

  • The user has completed the booking form with accurate and complete information.
  • Liberia Shuttle has sent a written confirmation by email to the user.

Liberia Shuttle reserves the right to reject or cancel any booking if the information provided is incorrect, incomplete, or fraudulent.

3.2 User Responsibility

The user is responsible for providing accurate information at the time of booking, including full name, contact number, pick-up point, destination, and number of passengers.


4. Pricing and Billing

4.1 Rates

Prices published on the Website are expressed in US Dollars (USD) and include applicable taxes under Costa Rican law, unless otherwise stated.

4.2 Payment Methods

Liberia Shuttle accepts the following payment methods:

  • Credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard)
  • Bank transfer
  • Cash (subject to availability and prior agreement)

Card payments are processed through payment gateways certified under the PCI-DSS standard. Liberia Shuttle does not store full card numbers or complete banking details on its own servers.

4.3 Billing Data

Billing information provided by the user (name, email address, payment method, transaction amount) will be stored securely and used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Processing and confirming payment.
  • Issuing receipts or electronic invoices.
  • Fulfilling tax and accounting obligations before Costa Rican authorities.
  • Resolving disputes or chargebacks.

Liberia Shuttle will not sell or transfer users' billing data to third parties for commercial purposes, except with the express consent of the data subject or when required by a competent authority.


5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

5.1 Cancellations by the User

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected], including the booking reference number.

5.2 Cancellations by Liberia Shuttle

In the event of a cancellation attributable to Liberia Shuttle (mechanical failure, driver absence, unforeseen circumstances), the user will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule the service at no additional cost.

Liberia Shuttle is not liable for cancellations or delays caused by extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, road blockages, government directives, or other force majeure circumstances.

5.3 No-Show

If the user does not appear at the agreed pick-up point within 15 minutes of the scheduled departure time, and has not notified Liberia Shuttle, the booking will be considered a no-show and no refund will be issued.


6. Service Conditions

6.1 Punctuality

Users are advised to be at the pick-up point at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Vehicles are not required to wait beyond the stipulated grace period.

6.2 Luggage

Each passenger is entitled to transport one (1) standard-size suitcase and one (1) carry-on bag at no additional charge. Oversized items, special equipment, or pets must be declared at the time of booking and are subject to availability and an additional fee.

6.3 Passenger Conduct

Liberia Shuttle reserves the right to deny service or remove any passenger who displays disrespectful behavior, is under the influence of alcohol or psychoactive substances, or poses a risk to the safety of other passengers or the driver. No refund will be issued in such cases.

6.4 Minors

Children under 12 years of age must travel accompanied by a responsible adult. The accompanying adult bears full responsibility for the minor throughout the journey.


7. Liability and Limitations

Liberia Shuttle holds the civil liability insurance required by Costa Rican law for passenger transportation.

Liberia Shuttle's liability for luggage damage or loss is limited to the value declared at the time of booking or, in the absence of a declaration, to a maximum amount equivalent to the fare paid for the journey.

Liberia Shuttle is not responsible for valuables left in vehicles. Passengers are advised to check their belongings upon disembarking.


8. Sharing Data with Third Parties

In order to provide services properly, Liberia Shuttle may share user data with the following types of third parties:

  • Payment gateways: to process transactions securely.
  • Booking or distribution platforms: when the service is contracted through such platforms.
  • Tax or judicial authorities: when required by law.

Under no circumstances will data be shared with third parties for advertising purposes without the prior and express consent of the data subject.


9. Marketing Communications (Opt-In)

With your consent, Liberia Shuttle may send you communications about promotions, new routes, or services of interest. You may grant or withdraw this consent at any time by writing to [email protected].


10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Liberia Shuttle Website (text, images, logos, design) is the property of Liberia Shuttle or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Reproduction or use without express authorization is prohibited.


11. Modifications

Liberia Shuttle reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon publication on the Website. Continued use of the Website or services after such publication constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.


12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. Any disputes arising from their interpretation or enforcement shall be submitted to the competent courts of Costa Rica, with express waiver of any other jurisdiction that may apply.
